At the Youth in Parliament Forum (YIPF), we are committed to not only getting youth mainstreamed into government, but to also ensuring that we support youth who believe in ethical leadership and accountability. Politicians should not lose sight of the fact that they are firstly public servants who have been entrusted with an immense responsibility by the citizens; thus, it is imperative to put the needs of the nation above any personal, tribal or religious interests. In this regard, below are some key principles that young aspirants should keep in mind when entering the political sphere.
